Richard (Charley) Eddie Nelson 76, of Kingston, Oklahoma passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2021, at the Calera Nursing Center in Calera, Oklahoma. He was born on December 25, 1944, in Healdton, Oklahoma to the late Chester A. Nelson and Glessie Martin Nelson. He was raised in Pruitt City, Oklahoma and attended the Fox Schools. Charley married Sylvia Stanwyck Tilley on April 20, 1979, in Las Vegas, Nevada and she preceded him in death on January 30, 2017. He worked as a Pusher in the Oil Field Industry his entire life and he enjoyed reading, watching TV especially wrestling.
He is survived by: Children: Tonsi Bettis and husband Dennis, Kingston, Oklahoma, Tammy Triplett and husband Kenneth, Gainesville, Texas. 4 Grandchildren: Brad Bettis and wife Julie, Chad Bettis, Clayton Triplett and wife Kelli, Monica Grove. 10 Great Grandchildren. Sisters: Sue Cooper, Duncan, Oklahoma, Tammy Jean Anderson and husband Larry, Duncan, Oklahoma, Diana Moore, Purnell, Oklahoma. Numerous nieces and nephews. Brother-in-law: Don Tilley and wife Connie, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Charley was preceded in death by his parents, wife and 1 brother, Jack Nelson.
Visitation will be Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at the Watts Funeral Home, Kingston, Oklahoma from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm with a family hour from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
Funeral service will be 10:00 am on Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at the Watts Funeral Home, Kingston, Oklahoma. Terry Thomas will officiate the service. Services will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Oklahoma. Condolences may be sent to wattsfuneralhome.com.
