Jimmie Dale Nelson of Mulhall OK passed from this life on Thursday June 7th, 2018. Jimmie was born in Lowndesville SC on January 26, 1944 to James Nelson and Catherine Spires Nelson. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Ann Nelson Wilson.
Jimmie worked for Trask Farms in SC until the late 60's when he decided to start driving trucks. He hauled logs for WW Logging in Iva, SC, drove for Merita Bakery in Anderson, SC, and pulled containers for BTT Trucking of Charleston, SC until he retired in 2005. After his retirement he and Debra decided to move to Oklahoma where they have resided since 2006.
Jimmie loved working with young horses, getting them accustomed to being handled and getting them halter broke. He also enjoyed working with cattle and taking care of his "little corner of Oklahoma".
He is survived by his wife Debra Nelson of Mulhall, daughter Bronwen Nelson of Georgia, son Dale Nelson of Iva, SC and one granddaughter Morgan Nelson. He also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will truly miss him.
It was Jimmie's wishes that there be no funeral service. He wanted his family and friends to remember him the way he was.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to Mulhall Christian Church, PO Box 145 Mulhall, OK 73063
