On Sunday, March 7, 2021, Donna Ruth Neese, mother for four, passed away at the age of 86 in Guthrie, Oklahoma. She was born on November 22, 1934 in Fairview, Oklahoma to Irvin Lee and Hazel Audrey (Lasley) Craycraft.
Donna graduated from Cashion High School where she participated in the rodeo and baseball teams, all boys’ teams at the time. She was a member of the International order of Rainbows and was not fond of having to dress up. Donna was an avid reader of Louis L’Amour books, loved John Wayne movies and College Football. She hardly met a stranger, and often gave to others in need. Underneath her tough exterior was a tender heart many times caring for others.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, and four siblings, Anna Lee Craycraft King, Marva Pearl Craycraft Morehead, Grace Helen Craycraft Bonerigo, and John Nelson Smith ll, and one grandson Logan Don Fitzpatrick. She is survived by her sister Phillis Kay Smith Eble, her four children Donald Gene Fitzpatrick, Deborah Ruth Fitzpatrick Edwards, Paul Allen Neese, their spouses, and Joy Lynn McWhorter, seven grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be planned at a future date.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.
