Phyllis Diane Hastings, 68, a resident of Fairfax, Oklahoma, passed away suddenly at Fairfax Behavioral Health and Memory Care Community on Thursday morning December 21, 2023. She was born February 25, 1955, in Nashville, Tenn. to Bobbie Jean Walker and Norman B. Hastings. She was a loving mother, daughter, and sister.
She enjoyed playing Bingo, cards, and dominoes. She was a compassionate animal lover and actively fed the cats at the nursing home.
She was preceded in death by her mother, father, and brother Butch.
She is survived by her daughter Billie Jo Davis, and her children Cathryn, Bryan, Triston, Gage, and Josh Markus of Fairfax. Her son Bobby Hastings, his children Dreama, Jessica, and Summer of Peru, Brooklyn of Fairfax, and Huntington of Norman. Further survived by great granddaughter Remedy, and great grandsons Braylon, and Bryce of Sand Springs. Her sisters Dreama Tyng of Pawhuska, Dawn Tyng of Wynona, and Lisa Strickland of Oswego, Kansas. Her brothers Eddie Tyng of Pawhuska, and Gary Hastings of Arizona, and their families.
Phyllis’ wishes were to be cremated and the family has chosen to honor her life in private without any formal services. Cremation is being overseen by Hunsaker Wooten Funeral Home, Fairfax.
