Eugene B. Nance, 89, of Norman, OK passed away Thursday, September 18, 2014. He was born January 9, 1925 in Poteau, OK to William Eugene Nance and Jessie (Bowen) Nance. Mr. Nance will be celebrated with private family services.
Gene married Gertrude Prentice on November 10, 1950 in Hot Springs, AR. He was in Commercial Printing and worked for the Transcript Press and Meade-Zellerback. Gene served our country through the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Bettie Bluemle. Gene is survived by his wife, Gertrude Nance; three children: Lynne Nance Turcott and husband Paul, Gary Nance and wife Jill Curran, Leslie Nance and friend, Mike Binck; six grandchildren: Jonathan Miller and wife Rachel, Jordan Miller, Rob Turcott, Meredith Turcott, Charlie Nance, Caili Nance; five great grandchildren: Isabella Cavaceci, Jackson Miller, Evelynn Miller, Luke Miller, Sophia Turcott; sister in-law, Morea Prentice; brother in law, Louis Prentice; niece, Nancy Rhodes and husband Mike; three nephews, Alan Wooten and wife Carol Sue, Russell Prentice and wife Ann, and Walter Prentice and wife Leslie.
Arrangements for Gene and his family were placed in the care of the Vice family at the Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman. Online condolences may be shared at www.HavenbrookFuneralHome.com.
