Robert Myers, Bob to most, left us March 15, 2009 to join with his wife Nan and parents Ednes and Collin in Heaven. He was born May 5, 1923 in Honolulu.
He spent his career serving our military with excellence both as an officer in the army and in civil service at Tinker Air Force Base. Bob served his Lord and Church, Saint Luke's United Methodist as a greeter and usher. He was a great listener and always quick to encourage others. He loved to laugh and tease; the teasing will be greatly missed. The Sooner Nation has lost a great fan, but we will continue to support his favorite teams.
He is survived by his sister Marjorie Mendez and family; his sister-in-law Marie and family; his daughters Mary Ellen Anderson, Susan Monroe and husband Lynden; his son Bob and wife Sammie; his grandchildren Kim Ogden, Kyle Ogden, Bob Perryman, Stewart Perryman and Jessica Myers; and great grandchildren Caleb, Christin and Julia and great-great grandson Ethan.
Bob has finished his race. Well done good and faithful servant.
Memorial Service will be held 2 PM, Friday, March 20, 2009 at Saint Luke's United Methodist Church, OKC, OK.
