Funeral services for Mary N. Musick will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home in Hugo, OK with burial following in Evergreen Cemetery in Paris, TX. Mary went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at the age of 86.
Mary Noelie Musick was born in Abbeville, Louisiana on December 26, 1926. She grew up with her brothers and sisters in Louisiana. She grew up in the Depression Era where she learned many skills that she passed on to the rest of her family. She raised two children and helped raise grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Along with being a wife and mother.
She held various positions in the work force including owning and operating dump trucks in Houston, TX, to driving a school bus in Oklahoma & caring for senior citizens. She did all of these things despite only finishing the 2nd grade in school. Her main purpose in life was living for the Lord and teaching others about God’s love. Her life was highlighted by spending time with her family who knew they could always count on her. Mary loved gardening, canning, cooking, dancing, sewing and swimming. She was also someone who enjoyed time outdoors. Mary could shoot a gun, pull a bow and cast a reel. Mary especially looked forward to holidays where the whole family would gather together.
Mary will be missed by her daughter, Patricia Kriener and husband Urbie of Waucoma, Iowa; daughter-in-law, Brenda Watson of Glen Rose, TX; grandchildren, Danny, Shelia (Lupe), Allen (Marsheila), Heather (George), Shad, Michelle (Cole), and Little Walt; great-grandchildren, Michael, Blake, Ashley, Natalie, Zachary, Sadie, Sierra, Jasper, Wayne, LaCie, Maddie and Tristan.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Karl Musick; one son, Walter Watson; brothers, sisters, and one granddaughter, Kristie.
