Clark Russell Murray

???? ~ August 31, 2010 | Age 68

Clark Russell Murray, a longtime Davenport resident, passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at his home at the age of 68 years.

The son of the late Howard Russell Murray and Mary Esther Watson Murray, Clark was born in Three Sands, Oklahoma.

He was reared and educated in Ponca City, graduating with the class of 1960. Following high school he entered into the United States Army serving in Korea. After receiving his honorable discharge, Clark returned to Oklahoma.

Clark and his wife Charlotte then lived briefly in Colorado before moving back to Oklahoma. Clark worked as a type setter for several newspapers. While living in Davenport he worked for Farm Fresh/Highland Dairy in Chandler for several years.

He is survived by his uncle, Irving "I.G." Murray and his wife Betty of Oklahoma City; and his very close friends, whom he considered to be family, Sam and Susan Byrd; and their family Sarah and Seth of Chandler.

In addition to his parents, Clark was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte.

Memorial services have been entrusted to the Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, Oklahoma and will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 12, 2010 at the Church of Christ in Davenport with Mr. Don Fuchs presiding.
