Roger Lee Murphy

Roger Lee Murphy
February 23, 1958  ~ July 17, 2024

Roger Lee Murphy, age 66, of Woodward, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2024 in Enid, Oklahoma. He was born to Monte L. Murphy and Mary M. (Rogers) Murphy on February 23, 1958 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. He graduated from Ft. Supply High School in 1976 where he played basketball and baseball. Roger attended Northwestern Oklahoma State University before joining the United States Marine Corps, where he became an avionics technician.

He was married to Karen S. Lake in 1988, and they later divorced. To this union Caitlin Anne was born.

He was preceded in death by his father and stepmother, Mary L. Murphy; his mother and stepfather, James R. Harber, and his fiancé Elizabeth Pemberton in 2022. He is survived by his daughter Caitlin and two grandchildren, Bradyn and Jordynn, all of Ohio, and his sister Sandy Roberts and husband Dave of Enid.

A private memorial will be held to spread his ashes in Ellis County, Oklahoma, God's Country, the place Roger loved most.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory. Condolences may be made and memories shared at www.ladusauevans.com.
