Neva (Nenon) Janeece Murphy went to be with our Lord on December 31, 2007. After a long battle with cancer, she found the ULTIMATE VICTORY in Heaven. Neva was born August 24, 1933 in Stevens County, KS and went to be with our Lord in MWC, OK.
After graduation from Springdale High School, she moved to Lubbock, TX where she married Bobby Lee Murphy on December 31, 1956. They moved to Jones in 1957. Neva was employed by the US Postal Service form 1969 to 1992 where she was a window clerk and Postmaster in Jones.
She was an active member and Sunday School teacher at FBC Jones and an involved member of the Jones Rebekkah lodge. She enjoyed cooking, family, and friends. Neva will be remembered by all who knew her for her deep faith in God as well as her loving and generous nature.
She was preceded in death by her parents Hardy Byrd Webb, Louise Webb Conner, stepfather Elliot Conner, and one sister Vivian Kendrick.
She is survived by her husband of ALMOST EXACTLY 51 YEARS, Bob (Poopaw) Murphy of the home, one sister Kara Beth and husband David Gosnell of Bella Vista, AR, two brothers, Melvin Webb and wife Anna Marie of Moscow, KS and Don Webb and wife Fern of San Pedro, CA, one daughter Jan and husband Bode and one grandson Beau Blair of Jones; as well as a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
