Cheryl Jean Murphy was born September 10, 1956 in Chandler, Oklahoma to Samuel Darrell and Beverly Jean (Hicks) Craven. She passed away September 4, 2020 in Stillwater at the age of 63.
Cheryl graduated from Perkins-Tryon High School. She went on to study at Langston University and St Gregory’s University in Shawnee. She worked for many years as a respiratory technician at Cushing Hospital. Cheryl met and soon married Mark Murphy and they had 3 sons. Cheryl and Mark were foster parents for many years, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her pets.
Cheryl is preceded in death by her parents, Darrell and Beverly; her husband Mark Murphy; brother Terry Craven. Survivors include her sons, Matthew Murphy of California, Kyle Murphy of Edmond and Jeffrey Murphy of Stillwater; siblings, Patty (Tommy) Welch of Carney, Alvin (Carolyn) Craven of Carney; along with other family and friends.
The family wishes to thank Karman Legacy Hospice of Stillwater for their tender loving care over the past few weeks.
A private service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
