Stephanie Dawn Murlin, 58, formerly of Woodward, went to be with her Lord on August 9, 2022. Celebration of her life will be held Friday, August 26 at the First Baptist Church in Woodward, Oklahoma at 2:00PM CST.
Stephanie was born to the late Gerald E Murlin and Erma M Murlin on August 6, 1964 in Woodward, Oklahoma
She lived in OKC close to her two children, Joshua Hartzell and Shelby Hartzell and their children. Her kids and grandkids were her life. She was a devoted Mom and Nanna and would spend as much time with her kids and grandkids as she possibly could, just being Nanna! Other times, she would travel to visit with her mother in Woodward, or she was in Wichita, Kansas visiting her best friend, Kathy Buxton Douglas. Her other happy place was listening to 'my guys' (The Eagles). She always enjoyed a trip to the lake, boating, fishing and taking comfort in all the beauty that nature had to offer. The idea of being outdoors and sitting around a fire at night was the idea of ultimate peace for her.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Woodward and attended Woodward and Fargo Public Schools.
She is survived by her son, Joshua Hartzell and wife Carly Hartzell of Edmond, Oklahoma; daughter, Shelby Hartzell of Edmond, Oklahoma; her mother, Erma Murlin of Woodward, Oklahoma; sister Cynthia A Bruner, brother in law Darrin W Bruner of Tioga, Texas; brother Todd E Murlin, sister in law Teresa Murlin, of Woodward, Oklahoma. Three grandchildren: Kylor Shane Parker, Addisyn Pearl Parker and Kaizer Max Hartzell, all of Edmond, Oklahoma. Nieces Kyla Murlin and fiance, Jamie Albert of Elk City, Oklahoma; Emily Bruner and Ashley Bruner of Tioga, Texas; Jenna Murlin of Woodward, Oklahoma and great nieces Rhealey Albert and Alexandria Albert of Elk City, Oklahoma; and many family members and friends.
Stephanie was preceded in death by her father, Gerald E Murlin, both grandparents: James M and Burnice Loomis, Harry and Iola Murlin.
