Funeral service for Betty Gene Munsinger, 96 of Enid, will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Anderson-Burris Funeral Chapel with Brian Meyer officiating. Burial will be at 3:00 p.m. in Grace Lawn Cemetery, Howard, KS under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home & Crematory.
Betty Gene Munsinger, was born March 10, 1921, to Alvin and Clara Frailey in Howard, Kansas and departed this life om January 25, 2018. She was the youngest of a family of 6 and is preceded in death by all of her siblings.
She married her high school beau, Dorus or Munsy, on September 4, 1942, and they remained married throughout their lives. To this union was born two children, the first a daughter, Linda Anne, who preceded her in death and the second child, Roger, who survives her. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2007.
She spent her married life as a devoted, stay-at-home Mother. The most important people in her life were her husband and son. They were always put first in her life. She did volunteer work as a den mother, taught 4-year-old Sunday school class, volunteered in a hospital gift shop and was actively involved in many of her son's and husband's activities.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Make Me Smile Charity or Toys for Tots.
