Grace May Mowdy, 72, of Caddo, OK passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2019 in Dallas, TX. She was born on September 4, 1946 in Caney, OK to Dave and Leta (Foster) McMichael.
Grace lived in Bryan County all of her life. She was a cook for many years. She also owned Deep Rock Café in Durant before selling it and retiring. Grace enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time with her family. She loved to fish. She was also a member of Mead Baptist Church.
Grace was preceded in death by her parents, sister Mildred “Tutor” McMichael and Louise “Corky” McMichael, brother John McMichael and grandson Nicholas Alan Cooper.
Grace is survived by her children; Paula McMichael of Caddo, OK, Tony Cooper and wife Kim of Durant, OK, Donna Valdez and husband Ismael of Caddo, Ok, and Michael Brown of Caddo, OK, son in law Larry Burges of Folsom, OK, granddaughters; Tiffany Whittington of Mead and Hailey Ensey and husband Steven of Bennington, OK, grandsons; Chance Mitchell of Kingston, OK, Kalub Valdez of Caddo, OK, Cory Brown and wife Makayla Barnett of Bennington, OK, Kristopher, Preston, and Nathan Cooper all of Durant, OK, and Ronnie Whittington of Mead, OK, great grandchildren are Jordan Smith, Billy and Cutter Whittington, Caspian, Annabella Bliss, and Jaxton Cooper, Embery, Stiles, and Aria Ensey and Whitley and Wylan Brown, and sister Ann Marical and husband Duward of Tuttle, OK.
Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church in Caddo, OK with Pastor Tommy Green conducting the service. Condolences can be sent to www.brownsfuneralservice.com. Arrangements are under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service in Durant, OK.
