David Allen Morrow, 54, passed away February 4, 2012 at 2:13 p.m. at his home in Blanchard, Oklahoma. David was born January 18, 1958 in Prineville, Oregon to Gaylord and Virginia Morrow. David went to be with the Lord and received a heavenly healing after a battle with lung cancer.
David grew up in Alaska, Arizona, Oregon, and Oklahoma. In high school he enjoyed playing football at Norman High. After high school he joined the Navy and became a Navy Seal from 1976-1982. In 1982 he settled down in Oklahoma and met the love of his life Shaun Renee Ziegler. They were married on February 20, 1982 and resided in Oklahoma City. Dave and Shaun have 3 children, Christopher, Anna, and Kimberly. The family moved to Blanchard in 1995. David had a passion for working on cars, boats, and guns, tinkering in the garage, hunting, playing poker and watching NASCAR on Sunday afternoons. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Some of his fondest memories were fishing with family and friends and spending quality time with his 5 grandchildren.
Dave rededicated his life to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in November of 2011. He was a good man who worked hard to provide for his family and made sure they knew how special they were to him. He was a loving father, a wonderful grandpa and an adoring husband.
David is survived by his wife Shaun Renee Morrow of Blanchard, mother Virginia Morrow of Blanchard, father Gaylord Morrow of Arizona, son Christopher Homer of Edmond, daughter Anna Franklin and son-in-law Lesley of Blanchard, daughter Kimberly Winchester and fiancE' Mark of Blanchard, sister Susan Barker and husband Bud, nephew Blake Barker all of Blanchard, and 5 grandchildren Kadence, Brooklynn, Tori, Cody, Terri, and best friend James Mayall. David has numerous extended family and friends whom he loves.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at Christ Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, 424 N. Main Street, Blanchard, OK.
