A Memorial Service for Dennis Morris will be held 10:00am, Thursday, October 20, 2022 in the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Jim Edmison officiating. The family will be at the funeral home Wednesday evening October 19 from 6-7pm to greet friends. Cremation arrangements and services are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Dennis was born November 16, 1948 in Enid to Frank and Anna Morris, and passed away October 11, 2022 in Enid. He graduated from Enid High School in 1966 and then attended Phillips University. Dennis married Joyce Hobbs on December 2, 1966. They shared a wonderful marriage for 55 years and had two children, Curtis Morris and Madelyn Morris.
Dennis started working at the Boys Market while still in High School and worked with them for 37 years. He retired from them and started D & J Remodeling with his wife until his health no longer allowed him to work anymore.
Dennis was a Dallas Cowboys fan and a Yankees fan. He enjoyed playing cards and going to the casino. He and his wife took 19 cruises together, sometimes taking his children and friends. He was a member of the Moose Lodge.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Joyce Morris; son, Curtis Morris (Mary), and daughter, Madelyn Morris (James Barber); all of Enid. Grandson, Caleb Morris of Enid; and Step-Grandchildren, Brianne Robertson (Scott), Enid; Brad Easter, Enid; Brett Easter (Randy Clayton), Oklahoma City; Alisha and Hadley Barber, Enid. And three Great-Granddaughters, Holly and Haylie Robertson, Enid; and Cerenity Easter, Pond Creek.
He will be missed by many friends, cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family members.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Dee Kanenchen; brother, Cody Morris; in-laws, Leonard and Olive Hobbs; and his niece, Deanna Mallow.
Memorial donations may be made to the Enid SPCA with Ladusau-Evans
serving as custodian of the funds.
