Ronnie Dean Morland

Ronnie Dean Morland
February 1, 1944 ~ October 17, 2022

Ronnie Dean Morland of Edmond, Oklahoma, was born February 1, 1944, in Alva, Oklahoma, and passed away Monday afternoon, October 17, 2022, after his battle with pancreatic cancer.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy; his sisters, Joyce and Debbie; his children, Angela Morland, Bryan and Jennifer Morland, Greg and Roberta Moore; his cherished grandchildren, Brady and Marissa Moore, Keith Ronnie Champy (K.C.), Mason Morland, Parker Moore and Maxwell Morland; and his friend Martha Morland (mother to Angela and Bryan).

Born and raised in Alva and and forever a Goldbug, class of 1962, he cherished his hometown and was actively involved with his classmates and reunions. He was a true Patriot who bravely served his country in the United States Air Force as a member of the aerial surveillance squadron during the Vietnam War. Professionally he focused his career on materials management in the banking technologies and transportation industries.

His family, friends, coworkers and neighbors unwaveringly relied on him for his love, strength, leadership by example, honesty, and integrity!

Family was the center of Ronnie's life and he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, nephew and cousin. A notorious early riser, he loved everything about God's creation and was born to be out in it. He appreciated the interstates, but much preferred taking the less traveled state highway routes to be closer to the country. He was an avid hunter from an early age and throughout his life. He loved to tinker and could repair almost anything, giving freely of his time to his family, friends and neighbors. His grandchildren remember him for his love and playfulness but mostly for his pancakes. He loved being involved in all their interests including cars, disk golf, baseball, softball and wrestling. He was father and grandfather figure to many of his friends, coworkers and neighbors.

The family would like to thank the Veteran's Administration Center and Mercy Hospitals of Oklahoma City for their loving care of their Papa and requests donations be made to the Cowboy Hall of Fame in lieu of flowers.
