William Morris Morgan, son of Leona Wilma (Wright) and Morris Philip Morgan, was born on December 10, 1944, in Greenville, Alabama. He passed away on July 30, 2018, at the age of 73 years, 7 months and 20 days.
He attended school in Aberdeen, Washington, graduating with the class of
of 1962. He then attended Gray's Harbor College of Aberdeen, Washington, and
Bates Technical College of Tacoma, Washington, receiving an associate
degree.
Bill served in the 82nd Airborne Army during the Vietnam War.
Working as a sheriff for over 17 years in Grays Harbor County Sheriff Office in Montesano, Washington, his area's main route was North Beach, Tahola. In 2001 he moved to Cleo Springs, Oklahoma, and started working for Diamondback Correctional Facility until 2010 when the facility was closed. He then started doing wood work out of the woodshed at his home building cabinets and furniture.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Bill is survived by his best friend and significant other, Joan Ehly of the home; a step daughter, Cheri' and Kyle Braden and granddaughters, Kierra and Kaylena, all of Ridgefield, Washington; and neighbors and friends.
William donated his body to science and at a later date will be buried in Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Washington.
