Bonnie Caren (Curry) Morgan

March 15, 1935 ~ July 7, 2012

Bonnie Caren (Curry) Morgan, 77, loving mother and grandmother, dear friend and lover of animals and everything outdoors, passed peacefully as she was surrounded by family on Saturday, July 7, 2012.

Bonnie was born on a ranch in Snow-flake, Ariz., on March 15, 1935, to Harriet (Kaufman) and Silas Deane Curry, and moved with them to Tahlequah in her teenage years. She was exceptionally devoted to her family and marriage of almost 58 years to Dr. C.T. Morgan, in Tahlequah, where they spent many years involved in the community and raising children, then moving to Muskogee and Fort Gibson. Bonnie was known for her steadfast, honest and gentle nature as she tended to her family, pets, gardens and the family tree farm in Fort Gibson before ultimately returning to Tahlequah.

Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents, Deane and Harriet Curry; her husband's parents, C. G. and Nannie Ruth Morgan; and brother-in-law, Dr. Omar John Morgan.

She is survived by her loving husband, Dr. C. T. (Tom) Morgan; his aunt, Elizabeth Kathleen Morgan; her sisters, Lurely (and Tom) Graham, and Jane (and Glen) Tell; brother, Dean (and Jolly) Curry; her husband's brother, George (and Vivian) Morgan. and his sister, Kathryn Dyer; along with her children, Charles Morgan and Karen Marlow (who will marry on Saturday), Jennifer (and Tom) Palmer, Melissa (and Trent) Stogsdill, Bill (and Heather) Morgan and Caren (and Jay) McCurdy, 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

The family would like to especially thank the caring staff at Go Ye Village for their attention, love and support of Bonnie and the family in recent months. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 11, in Tahlequah, at Green Country Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made in Bonnie's memory to the Alzheimer's Association of Oklahoma and Arkansas, for "Team Bonnie," for the Walk to End Alzheimer's, www.alz.org, or 2448 E. 81st Street, Suite 3000, Tulsa, Okla., 74137.
