Michael McGuire Moore

Michael McGuire Moore
June 2, 1950 ~ September 15, 2021

Michael McGuire Moore, 71, of Fort Smith, AR, passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021. He was born on June 2, 1950, in Fort Smith to Jimmy and Wanda Moore. Michael graduated from Enid High School in 1968 and attended Phillips University 1967-1969, then later attended Oklahoma State University from 1975-1977, obtaining an Associate's degree.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a recipient of the Bronze Star. He was retired from Qualserv Solutions as a CNC machine operator. He was a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Fort Smith.

Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the pavilion of the Fort Smith National Cemetery, with military honors. Arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

He is survived by three daughters, Julia Moore of Fort Smith, Felicity Moore of Las Cruces, NM, and Mary Cole and her husband Hayden, of Van Buren, AR; his son, James Moore of Fort Smith; mother of his children and love of his life, Cynthia Moore of Fort Smith; two brothers, Patrick C. Moore of Pottsville, AR, and Kelly C. Moore of Fort Smith; three grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Hayden Cole, Charles Hartgraves, Sam Lairamore, James McClendon, James Moore and Charles Owens. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Armour and Joe Lairamore.

Family will greet friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
