Michael l. "Moe" Moore

September 6, 1948 ~ July 28, 2020

A Celebration of Life Services for Michael "Moe" Moore age 71 of Enid will be 10 am Saturday, August 1, 2020, at the Ladusau-Evans Chapel with Rev. Mark Hein officiating. Cremation and service arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Michael was born September 6, 1948, in Kingfisher, OK to Donald "Dink" Moore and Peggy Beard Moore and passed away July 28, 2020, at his daughter's house near Garber. Moe attended and graduated from Hennessey High School in 1967. He attended Garden City Jr. College for a before transferring to Northwestern State University where he played football for 2 years. He went to work for Pillsbury Milling Co and ADM Milling Co and retired in 2008 after 36 years. He married Cathy Simmons in 1972. He enjoyed watching Northwestern State University football. He was honored by having the Mike "Moe" Moore Strength and Courage Award named after him. It is presented to a senior football player each year. Moe's pride and joy were being able to watch his two grandsons play sports.

He is survived by his daughter Minka Betchan and husband Jay, grandsons; Hayden Betchan and Parker Betchan and Darryan Wedel, great granddaughter Emery Betchan all of Garber, sister Donna and Jim Chancellor of Ada, and brother Tommy Moore of Enid and nephew Chad and Lorinda Chancellor of Mill Creek, OK, nieces, Christy and Tyson Brown of Ada, and Chandra Moore of Phoenix, AZ. And several great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church, Garber with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.
