Henrica Gerarda Maria (Hessels) Moore

Henrica Gerarda Maria (Hessels) Moore
May 23, 1946 ~ October 06, 2017

Henrica Gerarda Maria Hessels Moore was born May 23, 1946 in Tilburg, Netherlands to Johannes and Gerarda Hessels. She passed away peacefully on October 6, 2017 at the age of 71. A memorial service will be held October 11, 2017 at 3:00pm at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church under direction of Whinery-Huddleston Funeral Service.

Henrica was the center, the matriarch and the heart of our family. She was a highly intelligent woman of many skills and talents, but her greatest talent was as a mother and a Moe Moe. In this life there was absolutely nothing more vital to her than the happiness of her family. Our mother was a very proud Dutch Immigrant. When she was 11 years, her parents, 4 sisters and brother sailed over on the ship the S.S. Zuiderkruis to begin a new life in the United States after WWII, but she never forgot her Dutch heritage. She grew up on the beach in New Jersey until she met our father who was in the US Army and during their 20 year marriage travelled the world and had 2 children, Peter rank and Rebecca Johanna. She has always had many interests but found her true calling in law enforcement. At the age of 40 she went through the Police Academy and became a deputy for the Comanche County Sheriff's Department, but ultimately ended up doing what she truly loved, becoming a 911 Dispatcher where she stayed until her retirement after 20 years. Those are just black and white facts.

The real Henrica was Mom and Moe Moe and was the strongest person I'd ever met. She had a brain aneurysm in March of 2008 that kills most instantly, but not our mom. She was back at work by May of the same year. That's how incredible she was. All of us will have different memories, but to Perter, myself and all her grandchildren, she will always be our mom and Moe Moe. We love you and already miss you.

Survivors include her son, Peter Moore and wife Deanna of Claremore, OK; Peter's children: Steven and Marissa Moore of Tuttle, OK, and their children, Alyssa and Aria; Michael and Aimie Moore of Claremore, OK; William Moore of Lawton, OK; Miranda Moore of Lawton, OK; Daughter, Rebecca Peterson and husband Billy of Lawton; children: Jonathon and Heather Tinsley of Yukon, OK and their children, Crystal, Samantha, Landon, Julie, Amy and T.J. Green of Princeton, Indiana and their children, Liam, Gwendolyn and Zoey; siblings, Jane Hessels of Bradley Beach, NJ and John and Carole Hessels of Bradley Beach, NJ; their children, Sam, Bobby, Tracey and Johnny; Petronella and Bob Smith of Belmar, NJ; their children, Joseph, Douglas and Jennifer Gerarda Nowlan; her children, Roger and Jessica Nowlan. Roger was more like a second son to Henrica, rather than a nephew; their children, Raina and Jake.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Gerarda Hessels; sister, Wilhelmina and her husband Patrick Shaffrey
