Memorial services for Garold Jay "Gary" Moore II will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015, at the Lahoma First Baptist Church with The Rev. Steve Campbell officiating. Gary was cremated at his request. Services are under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Waynoka, LLC.

Garold Jay "Gary" Moore II, son of the late Garold Jay and Vera Laverne (Atkinson) Moore, was born July 2, 1953, in Waynoka, and passed away Nov. 11, 2015, at his home near Meno in Major County, Oklahoma, at the age of 62 years, 4 months, and 9 days.

Gary grew up in Waynoka and graduated from Waynoka High School with the Class of 1972. On Aug. 17, 1973, he was united in marriage to Marilyn Sue Nickelson at Waynoka. He served 8 years in the United States Air Force at Carswell AFB in Fort Worth and Tinker AFB in Oklahoma City. He worked as a sheet metal specialist on B-52 bombers, KC-135s and A-7s.

After his service, he continued sheet metal work at Tinker. Gary also served 12 � years in the Air National Guard as a cook and enjoyed traveling to many locations around the world. He was called back to active duty during Desert Storm.

He was a member of the Waynoka First Baptist Church and Waynoka American Legion Post #106.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, metal salvage, and visiting with friends. He was a snake handler at the Waynoka Rattlesnake Hunt for over 30 years.

He also volunteered at the Lahoma Food Bank for several years.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Moore.

Gary is survived by his wife, Marilyn, of Meno; children, Scott Moore and wife, Monica, of Yukon, Melissa Slocter and husband, Michael, of Mustang, and Katie Logsdon and husband, Jeremy, of Lahoma; grandchildren, Ethan, Isaac, and Owen Moore; Michael and London Slocter; Keegan, Kylee, Jessika, Jordyn, Kynzee, Jaxon and Jay (to arrive in February) Logsdon; family, Pat Moore of Warr Acres, Betty Carol and John Coffey, Dennis Moore and Art Forster of Edmond; other relatives and many friends.

Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to GLOW Lahoma Youth Group or Lahoma Food Bank.
