Bob T. "B.T." Moore

June 15, 1937 ~ December 10, 2003

Former Shafter resident, Bob ("B. T.") Moore, born in Oklahoma City, OK, on June 15, 1937, passed away in Beaver Dam, AZ, December 10, 2003. He is survived by his wife, Sheryl (Kilpatrick), and two daughters, Cindy Davis and husband, Dalton Davis of Rockwall, TX and Becky Mays and husband, Joe Mays of Bakersfield, CA. He is also survived by one granddaughter, Amanda Mays of Bakersfield, and his former wife and mother of his daughters, LaWanda (Edwards) Moore of Overton, NV. He leaves behind to mourn his passing his sisters, Alma Elam and Caren Brewer of Oklahoma; his brothers Jerry Moore of Tennessee and Ken Moore and Ron Moore of Oklahoma; two half-sisters, Louise Rewak and Lorene Brownen, also of Oklahoma. He was predeceased by his parents, Levie and Carmen (Ledbetter) Moore, brother, Larry Moore and half-brother Delbert Moore.

Of the numerous friends Bob made throughout his life, the family wishes to pay warmest gratitude to his longtime friend, Andy Sharp, who saw him through the worst of times, along with the best. Andy's unwavering friendship epitomizes the meaning of a true friend.

Bob will be greatly missed, but we take comfort in knowing that he had accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior.

A memorial service wil be held Monday, December 22, 2003 at Iron Chapel Freewill Baptist Church in Purcell, OK at 1:00 p.m. There will be no viewing or visitation. Burial will be at Dibble Cemetery, Dibble, OK. Bob faithfully donated to Feed the Children.
