Robert "Bob" Moon passed away on Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010 in the Drumright Hospital at the age of 66 years.
The son of the late Donald Eugene Moon and Gwen Roller Moon, Bob was born on Sept. 23, 1944 in Bartlesville, OK and was raised and educated in that area.
He was united in marriage to Nancy Cargill on May 5, 1967 in Oklahoma City and to this union six children, Michael, Mark, Lori, David, Julie and Lisa were born.
Bob had worked as a controls engineer prior to his retirement.
The couple moved back to the Drumright area in Dec. of 2009, and had lived here since.
He attended the Oak Grove Baptist Church; was a gifted handyman when it came to fixing anything that needed to be built or repaired; he loved babies and spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife Nancy of the home; his children, Michael Moon of Santa Clara, CA, Mark Moon and his wife Deanna of Tulsa, Lori Longfellow and her husband Michael of Chanute, KS, David Moon and his wife Stephanie of Broken Arrow, Julie Bell and her husband Jonathan of Questa, New Mexico and Lisa Crase and her husband Jackie of Broken Arrow; 12 grandchildren; his mother-in-law, Beulah Cargill; his sisters-in-law, Norma Jean Haxton, Mary Walker and Linda Wilson; his brothers-in-law, Larry Cargill, Jerry Cargill, Roland Cargill and Lonnie Cargill and numerous nieces and nephews; his step-mother, June Moon of Bartlesville; sister-in-law, Renee Hester (wife of Don, Jr.); two nieces, Cammie Brown and Carrie Williams and other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother Don Moon, Jr. and his father-in-law Orion Cargill.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at 4:00 P.M. in the Oak Grove Baptist Church (2 miles West of Drumright on Highway 33) with Pastors Mike Murray and Harold Phillips, officiating.
