Karen Sue Cox Moon, age 80, of Bartlesville, passed away on January 30th, 2022. Karen was born on March 2nd, 1941 in her rural home in the Whitewater Community of Delaware County, Oklahoma. She attended Jay School for 12 years where she made many forever friends. She attended college at NEO in Miami, Oklahoma.
She married Harold M. Neer Jr in 1960 and they made their home in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. After rearing her children, she started and solely operated TLC Travel, which allowed her to travel all over the world. During her travels, Karen was quick to make family in every country she visited. She was active in Grace Community Church, but her love for the Lord extended in everything she did. She never met a stranger and was never too busy to offer a helping hand or words of encouragement to those in need. No situation was too big to tackle with her can-do attitude and trust in God. When trying to decide on a picture for her obituary, we had many more traditional options, but decided to go with one that was unique and colorful because that’s how she always lived her life. She positively impacted many and will be extremely missed.
Karen Cox Moon is survived by her two children, Dana Neer-French and David Neer, her four grandchildren, Kelsey Neer, Jacob French, Rachel French, and Emily French, her sister, Carolyn Cox-French, and her nieces and nephews, Steven Cox, Kathy Cox-Worden, Carol Cox-Burns, Kimberly Cox, Kyna Cox-Lee, Matthew French. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thornton and Ollie Cox, her Brother, Bobby “Neale” Cox, and her husband, Donald Moon.
