Teresa Ann Montgomery, a beloved wife, cherished mother, and a pillar of strength in her community, passed away on September 18, 2023, at the age of 64. She was known for her loving nature, kind heart, and unwavering dedication to her family.

Teresa was born on November 12, 1958, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the daughter of Floyd and Shirley (White) Blackwell. She grew up in Cleveland, where she began her education, graduating from Cleveland High School with the Class of 1976. After high school, Teresa worked at Job Corps in Tulsa and later gained employment at Kerr Glass in Sand Springs. Teresa also worked at several convenience stores in the area as well as for Hardee's in Sand Springs. Teresa was united in marriage to Charles Montgomery on October 16, 2000, establishing their home in Wynona, where she has continued to reside. Teresa worked for several years as a substitute teacher and reading tutor at the Wynona School for many years.

Teresa enjoyed crocheting and reading Archie Comic Books during her spare time. During the holidays and weekends, Teresa always enjoyed having her family around, especially her grandchildren. Teresa's warmth and compassion touched the lives of all who knew her. She dedicated her life to creating a loving and nurturing environment for her family, serving as a beacon of love and support. Her devotion to her husband, Charlie, was unmatched, and their bond was a testament to the true meaning of love and partnership. Her infectious smile and genuine care for others brightened the lives of those around her, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts.

Teresa's loving spirit extended beyond her immediate family. Survivors include her husband, Charlie, of the home; three children, Tabitha Barnes and husband Craig of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Tamerah Haney and Michael Cockrell of Bixby, Oklahoma, Kyle Montgomery of the home; mother, Shirley Blackwell of Cleveland, Oklahoma; three sisters Wendy Giabbai of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Dawnya Vineyard and husband Jim of Sapulpa, Christina Robinson and husband Mike of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; grandchildren Stephan Cockrell, Kalimae Cockrell, Dyllion Cockrell, Craig Barnes, Jr., Riley Barnes, great-granddaughter Emberlyn and a host of other relatives and friends. Teresa was preceded in death by her father, Floyd Blackwell.

Though Teresa's passing leaves a void in the lives of those who loved her, her memory will continue to be celebrated and honored. A gathering will be held at the home of her daughter at 108 N. Rosehill from 12:30 to 6:00 p.m. Thursday, September 21, 2023, to allow family and friends to come together and pay their respects. The ceremony will be a reflection of Teresa's vibrant spirit, celebrating her life and the joy she brought to those around her.

Teresa Ann Montgomery will forever be remembered as a beacon of love, a devoted wife, a dedicated mother, and a cherished friend. Her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire and guide us all. May her soul rest in eternal peace. A memorial website for Teresa will be at www.chapman-black.com.
