Bob Money
March 2, 1941 ~ October 1, 2024

Bob Money, a beacon of faith and love, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2024, in Colbert, Oklahoma, at the age of 83. Born on March 2, 1941, in Cleveland, Ohio, Bob's life was a testament to the power of devotion and service. He was a man who walked in the light of his beliefs, touching the lives of many with his passionate preaching and unwavering commitment to his community.

Bob proudly served his country as a member of the US Air Force, a period of his life that instilled in him a deep sense of duty and honor. After his military service, he found his true calling as a preacher. Bob retired from the Linden Church of Christ, where his sermons were not only heard but felt deeply by all who had the privilege to listen, and his ability to quote scripture was unparalleled. Even in his later years, as a resident at both Southern Pointe Living Center and Kings Daughters and Sons Nursing Home, Bob continued to preach and share the wisdom of the scriptures with fellow residents and staff. His unwavering faith and love for sharing the gospel never dimmed, and he remained a source of inspiration and comfort to those around him. His commitment to serving others extended beyond the church walls, as he was an active member of the Lion's Club, Kiwanis Club, and the American Legion, all in Linden, Texas, reflecting his desire to make a positive impact on his community.

He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and is survived by his daughters, Diana Dodson and husband Gary of Irving, Texas, Kristina Bruce and husband Daniel of Colbert, Oklahoma, and Robin Carr and husband Hans of Clinton, Mississippi; his sons, Robert Money and wife Dolly of Sachse, Texas, Bill Money of Mount Pleasant, Texas, Jim Money and wife Becky of Russellville, Kentucky, Allen Henderson of Lamesa, Texas, and Stephen Money and wife Joyce of Linden, Texas; and son-in-law Phil Cabesuela of Cash, Texas. His legacy will live on through the numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren who will continue to cherish his memory.

receding Bob in death are his beloved wife of 39 years, Dari Money, his daughter Dari Ruth Cabesuela, his parents Emmitt and Martha (Ellis) Money, and two grandsons, Michael Dodson and Kevin Money.
