Michele Lynn Mobbs (Vance) went to be with the Lord on April 4, 2022. She was born on April 20, 1950 in Ponca City, Oklahoma to Jimmy Dean Vance and Georgia Mae Catherine (Owens) Vance. Michele was the oldest of six girls.
Michele had a vivacious personality and a laugh that could stop traffic! Michele was known for her infamous hair flip and imitations of Cher during our family Christmas shows. She loved life and enjoyed telling stories while being surrounded by family and friends. She was our favorite storyteller. She made fudge every time she was grounded hoping to get released sooner than later (This was a recipe she never shared with anyone). Michele attended Moore Highschool and was adored by her classmates. She was the Queen of the ROTC Court and wore that title proudly. She was also part of the MHS Pep Club. "Go LIONS!"
She graduated from Moore High School in 1968 and was married to her high school sweetheart, Bill Mobbs from 1968 to 1971. Michele inherited her amazing work ethic from her dad and worked at Levitz Furniture Company in Sales and then moved to Dallas, TX in 1974 where she became a Sales Executive for Sony Corporation working there until 1990. She retired for a few years and moved back to Oklahoma to help care for her dad during the time that he had cancer. She went back to work at Hands on Therapy, in Stillwater, OK as the Office Manager and then worked at the Shutter Mill in Stillwater as a Receptionist. Working as a Cage Cashier at the Cimarron Casino in Perkins, OK proved to be one of her most interesting jobs! Finally, she served on the Carney City Council in the mid 2000's before retiring.
She was a breast cancer survivor and fought the good fight as long as the Lord allowed before He took her home.
She is preceded in death by her sister Jenna Bruno; father Jim Vance; nephew Jacob Rodgers; and niece Kristen Chappell.
She is survived by her mother, Georgia Vance of Dallas, TX; daughter Angela Starling of Carney, Ok; granddaughters, Haylie Rocha of Victoria, TX and Alexandra Starling of Carney, OK; and her sisters, Cheryl Walton of Lindsay, Ok, Tami Cooke of Dallas, TX, Tara Vance of Carney, OK and Georgia Chappell of Tulsa, Ok. She adored her four great grandchildren, Camden Francisco of Carney, OK, Scarlet and Wyatt Smith of Carney, Ok and Gabriella Rocha of Victoria, TX.
