Angela Marie Mnich

Angela Marie Mnich
June 4, 1949 ~ March 9, 2022

Angela Marie Mnich of Bartlesville Oklahoma left this world to be with her Heavenly Father and family on March 9th, 2022. She was surrounded by her family and friends. Angie was 73 years young. She was born to Loddie and Valeria Mnich of Bartlesville on June 4th, 1949. She had an older sister named Julie.

Angie grew up in a loving family with many relations and kin. Her family owned the famous Mnich’s grocery store in Bartlesville. Angie attended Bartlesville public schools and graduated from College High School in 1967.

Angie worked at Anthony’s department store, Standard Pump, and McDonald Auto Parts before becoming a childcare provider in 1984. On August 7th, 1980, Angie adopted her son, Kevin, from her older sister.

Angie worked in the childcare service in Bartlesville for 37 consecutive years, primarily at Lollipop Land Child Care. Angie held a Certificate of Achievement in Child development (CDA) and Certificate of Mastery in Child Development, graduating in May of 2003. For 37 years she helped teach, guide, nurture and love and protect generations of children who grew up to be strong men and women in the community and beyond. Her love, gentleness, and tireless devotion toward every child who came into her care became her legacy, and her daycare kids became her family. She also loved her home family and little dog, Tinker.

Angie was recognized as one of the Top 10 Childcare Teachers in Oklahoma by the Friends of Daycare Association. She loved her daycare kids, teaching them letters, numbers, social skills, language skills, reading skills, music, arts, and humanities. They grew up to be fine men and women with Angie’s guidance, in turn, bringing their children to her to be nurtured. For years her Lollipop Family loved her and her legacy of love continues.

Angie loved everyone, especially her family, extended family and friends and her precious son, Kevin. They loved took care of one another for 45 wonderful years.

Angie is proceeded into Eternity by her father Loddie, her mother Valeria, sister Julia, her grandmother Angela, her aunts Anne Mnich and Julia Kempa, and uncles Tony Mnich and John Kempa.

Angie is survived by her son Kevin of Bartlesville, Uncle Mike Mnich of Bartlesville, his wife Susie and daughter Connie, and Katie and son Tom, many more family, her best friend and roomate Bobbie Scroggins of Bartlesville, daughter Tiffany Scroggins, son Tyler Scroggins and many, many, many Lollipop children. Hers is a legacy of love.
