NASH — Gertrude V “Trudy” Mitchell, 92, of Nash, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2013, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.

At her request, there will be no service. Cremation was under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Trudy was born June 8, 1921, in Los Angeles, the daughter of Joseph and Gertrude Sketchley Cuevas.

She was a graduate of Freemont High Scholl in Los Angeles, Calif.

Trudy moved to Nash in 2005, and was a faithful member of Nash Christian Church. She loved gardening and spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed being a mother to many of her daughters’ friends.

Survivors include a daughter, Penny Nichols of Nash; a grandson, Cade Shores of Northern California; and a great-granddaughter, Makena Sherrell.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Mitchell; a daughter, Candy Nichols; and a grandson, Devin K Sherrell.

Memorial contributions may be made to Nash Christian Church or Nash Fire Department.
