Jimmie (Jim) Darrell Minor passed away peacefully at the Journey Home on January 9th, 2025. He was born November 4th, 1930, in Omaha Nebraska to Laverne and Alma Pearl Minor. Jim had two brothers Laverne and Larry Minor, and two sisters Bonnie Minor Hagenhoff, and Naomi Minor. As a young boy Jim and his family moved to Oklahoma.
Jim joined the United States Airforce in 1950 and retired in 1971. Prior to his marriage to Majorie Jim welcomed a son, Darrell Minor. He married Marjorie A Thomas on April 4th, 1952. They welcomed four children, a son Michael Minor and a daughter Brenda Paper, a son Kevin Lee Minor and a daughter Alichia Ann Minor. Jim and Marg were married for 70 years. Marjorie passed on October 22, 2022
Jim was a generous man opening a food pantry in 1994 and ran it with his wife Majorie for 20 years. They helped countless families and local organizations. Jim was an avid camper and loved to be a gate attendant for the Corp of engineering. Jim loved taking road trips with Mike and Lisa, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Jim is proceeded in death by his father Laverne, and mother Alma, Wife Marjorie A Thomas Minor, Son Kevin Lee Minor and Daughter Alichia Ann Minor, Sister Bonnie Minor Hagenhoff, Grandson Jared Minor, Brother Laverne and Larry Minor, and sister Naomi Minor.
Jim is survived in death by Darrell (Diane) Minor, Brenda L (Jeff) Paper, Michael (Lisa) Minor, Kelsi (Landon) Swaim, Landon (Amanda) Minor, Michelle (Kevin) Bridges, Candie (Rigo) Paper, Tiffany (Marshall) Foreman, 5 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren.
