ENID, Okla. - Combined funeral and celebration of life services for Jim and Karen Mills will be 2 p.m. Friday, August 17, 2012, in Stittsworth Memory Chapel. Pastor David Shaw with First Baptist Church of Waynoka, will officiate. Services are under the kind guidance of Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service.
Jim was born August 12, 1950, in Ardmore, Oklahoma, the son of Albert and Bessie DeArmond Mills, and passed away Sunday, August 12, 2012, at his residence. He moved to Enid with his parents at an early age and attended the Enid school system. Jim graduated from Enid High School with the class of 1968. He attended Oklahoma State University and later worked for Chenoweth and Green as a piano deliveryman. Jim served his country in the United States Navy, and then moved back to Enid, where he was involved with auto restoration. Jim married Karen Marie Murray in Enid November 1, 1973. She passed away in 2011.
He was a member of several horse clubs. Survivors include Jim's sister, Jennie and husband Philip Beard of Duncan; nieces, Michelle and husband Kevin Jeffries of Alva and Sarah and husband Luke Roeschley of Frisco, Texas; nephews, James Beard of San Francisco, California, and John Beard of Oklahoma City; and numerous cousins. In addition to his wife, Jim was preceded in death by his parents.
