Donald Keith Mills of Ponca City, Oklahoma, died Sunday afternoon, August 26, 2018, in the Alliance Health – Ponca City at the age of 83 years.

Donald Keith Mills was born on July 19, 1935, in Prairie, Arkansas, to Fred and Dovie (Smith) Mills. Early in his adult life he worked in the orchards of California and in the dairy industry before working in the oilfields and as an over the road truck driver. He married Loretta Guinn and she later preceded him in death. He married Glenda Kay (Chambers) Buxton on August 11, 1989, in Blackwell and they made their home in Blackwell, Blackwell Lake, Burbank and finally Ponca City. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, hunting and Boston terriers. He attended the Tabernacle Church in Blackwell.

He is survived by his wife Glenda Mills of Ponca City; daughters, Sharon Kay Walker and Patricia Welsh both of California; two step-sons, DeWayne Chambers of Blackwell and Bill Chambers of Portland, Texas; a step-daughter, Sheri Beck of Blackwell; and a brother, James Mills of Lorain, Ohio; two sisters, Loraine Deahan and Dorothy Trammell; eleven grandchildren; ten step-grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Linda McWilliams and Lovetta Merea; step-daughter, Tammy Kirby; brothers, Louis, Gene, Wilbur and Sherman Mills.

A memorial service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 30th in The Tabernacle Church in Blackwell with Rev. Robert Johnson officiating.

A memorial has been established in his honor with The Tabernacle Church in c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 120 W. Padon, Blackwell, Oklahoma  74631.
