Memorial services for Garvin Dale Milliken, 54, of Burneyville, will be scheduled at a later date. Born March 17, 1962, at Fort Worth, Texas, the son of Tommy and Meril Dean McCartney Milliken, he died Monday, June 20, 2016, at his residence in Leon.
Garvin was raised primarily at Cheek attending School at Turner. He worked for many establishments, such as WW Trailer Manufacturing in Madill and the Pants Factory in Marietta as well as in the oilfield. Garvin sometimes helped Johnny Hartman with his water well service. He loved hunting and fishing and enjoyed getting the chance to just sit and visit with people.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his sister, Donna "Sissy" Flatt and husband Danny of Burneyville; brother, Neil Milliken of Wilson; father Donnie Heiderich of Lone Grove; aunt Christine Banks of Overbrook; nephews, Josh, Michael and wife Terri, and Blake and wife Kali; nieces Danielle and Lacy; great-niece and nephew, Shelby and Michael, and numerous other aunts, uncles, family and friends.
