Erbie L. Millet, 89, of Eufaula, Oklahoma entered Heaven's gate Monday, November 14, 2016. He was born March 19, 1927 to Elmer and Tennie (Collins) Millet in O'Dell, Arkansas.
Erbie was a carpenter at Carpenters Local #944 for over 50 years until his retirement on August 1, 1993. He also, owned and operated Across the Tracks Steak House in Braggs, Oklahoma where he met his future wife, Martha Ann Deerinwater. They were married on September 13, 1999 in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Erbie enjoyed woodworking, traveling, playing board games, and reading. He was a member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church. Erbie loved his family very much and made spending time with them one of his main priorities. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Erbie was preceded in death by his parents; mother of his children, Velma; granddaughters, Melissa Bottoms and Nadia Millet; brothers, his twin Ervin Millet, "B" Earnest Millet, and Marion "Bus" Millet; and sister, Margie Marcum.
He is survived by his wife, Martha of the home; children Ron Millet, Sr. and wife Mary of Fritch, TX, Donna Millet of Edgewood, NM, Allyne Bottoms and husband Harold of Prairie Grove, AR, Dennis Millet and wife Judy of Neosho, MO, Rhonda Daniel of Canadian, OK, Bonnie Cook and husband Shane of Checotah, OK, Kay Romero and husband Luis of Eufaula, OK, and Jo Lynn Moses and husband Armando of Eufaula, OK; 26 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; nephew Gene Ray Millet and wife Linda of Hutchison, KS; and many other family members and friends.
Erbie's family will receive visitors 5:30 P.M. - 7:30 P.M., Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel.
A celebration of Erbie's life will be 2:00 P.M., Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Basden officiating. Pallbearers will be Luis Romero, Shane Cook, Harold Bottoms, Armando Moreno, Charles Deerinwater, Louie Deerinwater, and Ray Deerinwater. Honorary pallbearers will be Ron Millet, Jr., Luis Romero III, Bo McClanahan, Brody McClanahan, Clayton Cook, Dominic Hernandez, Nicholas Scott, and Kamron Deaton.
Funeral services are under the direction of Cornerstone Funeral Home and Crematory, 1830 N. York Street, Muskogee, OK. Condolences may be made to the family online at www.cornerstoneofmuskogee.com.
