Memorial services for Samuel Arlen Lee Miller, 54, of Overbrook will be held at noon Saturday, March 9 in the Chapel of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home.
Born March 28, 1964 at Knox City, Texas, the son of Billy Estes and Bonnie Ruth Brownlee Miller, he died Saturday, March 2, 2019 at his residence.
Samuel attended Marietta Public Schools and graduated with the Class of 1982. He and the former Vickie McGregor were married in Gainesville, Texas on March 20, 2000. Before his retirement, Samuel had been employed as a compost facility operator for the City of Ardmore. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping. His hobbies also included woodworking, playing the guitar, and playing marbles.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Alysa Proctor.
Survivors include his wife, Vickie of the home; two son, Samuel Tyson Colt Miller and wife Katie of Marietta and Matthew Benjamin Miller and wife Katie of Cleburne, Texas; three stepsons, Dennis Monroe and wife Rhea of Phoenix, Logan Monroe and wife Jennifer Russ-Monroe of Salida, Colorado, and Joshua Monroe and wife Jessica of Rock Spring, Georgia; a brother, Willie Estes Miller and wife LaDonna and their children, Caleb and Jessica of Marietta; a sister, Jennifer Miller of Quincy, Illinois; and 13 grandchildren, Kaelin, Khara, Kendall, Kaya, Keeley, Beau, Augustus, Matthew, Mia, Greyson, Madyson, Caleb, and Kellen.
