John Daniel Miller, Jr.

John Daniel Miller, Jr, was born on September 11, 1983 in Collinsville, OK to John Daniel Miller, Sr and Donna Hedgecock Miller. He died at a Lawton hospital on January 19, 2014 with his wife at his side. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 11:00 am in the Whinery-Huddleston Chapel, with Pastor Bob Weger officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Whinery-Huddleston Funeral Service.

John was raised and attended school in Lawton, OK. He graduated from Lawton High School in 2001. He married his high school sweetheart, Amanda, in December 2004. Together they have three beautiful children, Tristen, Isaiah and Aden. In 2008, he joined the Army. His awards include: Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and the Army Service Ribbon. He was proud to be an American and was hard working; he never gave up. He fought for what he wanted. He will be remembered for his smiles and his knowledge of words. He was a great and loving father, husband and son. He is preceded in death by his uncle, Harold Bowen.

He is survived by his wife of nine years, Amanda, of the home; his daughter, Tristen, of the home; sons, Isaiah and Aden, both of the home; his parents, Curtis and Donna Sonstegard, of Faxon; his sister, Dana Miller, of Faxon; father, John Daniel Miller Sr., Aunt Ruth Halpins, Aunt Toni Brady Miller, Aunt Janice Miller, and an Aunt Carol Clay.
