Hilda Ilene Ficken Miller, currently of Candler, NC, and past resident of Enid, Oklahoma, went to be with the Lord on September 8, 2018, at the age of 97.
She was born to Frank Henry Ficken and Emelie Clara Weber Ficken in Marshall, Oklahoma.
Hilda graduated from Marshall High School. After graduation, she went to beautician school and worked in Guthrie and Enid, Oklahoma, as a beautician. She went on to own the Enid beauty shop where she worked.
On June 10, 1955, Hilda and Richard Ludy Miller were married in Enid, Oklahoma. The Rev. Miller was a pastor in the Iowa United Methodist Conference during their married years.
Hilda was an avid quilter and lovingly made quilts for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Hilda is survived by her beloved daughter, Judy and (Jerry) Boutelle of Petersburg, Illinois, beloved daughter Ilene and (Gordon) Kay of Candler, NC.
Five grandchildren, Kathy Bruns, Shari Morgan, Liam Coventry, Greg Boutelle and Kyle Kay. Six great-grandchildren Ben Morgan, Shiloh Coventry, Eden Coventry, Haven Coventry, Juliette Boutelle and Brook Boutelle.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Henry Ficken and Emelie Clara Weber Ficken; husband Richard Ludy Miller; son Kent Richard Miller; grandson Christian Collin Edward Kay; sister Dorothy Ficken Flowers; brothers Alfred Ficken and Leon Ficken.

A memorial service is 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, Friday, October 5, 2018, at Bethany United Methodist Church, 931 E Maple Ave., Enid, OK USA.
