Doyle Ernest “Ernie” Miller, Jr., 58, of Blanchard, died Friday, March 22, 2024. The son of Doyle Ernest Miller, Sr. and Karen Sue (Keller) Neal, he was born July 10, 1965, in Oklahoma City.
Ernie grew up in the Oklahoma City area and graduated from Putnam City West High School in 1984. He had a special relationship with his grandmother, Addie Miller, who spoiled him during his younger years. He was Church of Christ in faith. Ernie married Rebecca Ann “Becky” Gunter on July 26, 2014, in Lindsay, Oklahoma. He and his wife owned and operated MG Quarter Horses, where they raised, trained, and sold horses for several years. He was a member of the AQHA, and also participated in PRCA Team Roping. Ernie owned and operated Hired Gun Trucking Company. In his spare time, he enjoyed doing his favorite activities alongside his wife, especially fishing and going to the beach. If you saw Ernie, Becky was always by his side. They were inseparable. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his wife and family. He especially loved being “Poppy” to his grandkids. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Addie and Clarence Miller, and Warren and Velmma Keller.
