Don C. Miller, Edgewater Park, was born November 13, 1951 in Lawton, OK to Audra E. Miller. He died December 28, 2014 at Norman Regional Hospital at the age of 63.
In Donnie's younger years he loved hunting, fishing, and rodeo events. He and his mother lived in the Edgewater Park community since 1974. Donnie worked as a farm laborer for area farmers and for Southwest Vet Clinic for a few years. He was also retired from the Edgewater Park Volunteer Fire Department. He was often seen walking down the highway and given rides by acquaintances. He became very ill a few years and was confined to his home. Donnie developed a strong faith in God. With hospice, home health, and caring friends and neighbors his life was extended several years. The telephone was Don's lifeline and connection to those who cared for him and helped him deal with loneliness. He prayed thoughtful prayers with those who visited him and called him. Donnie donated financially to Tipton Children's Home and Westview Boys Home. He was preceded in death by his mother and two brothers, David A. Hathorn and James Hathorn.
Survivors include a sister, Marie; nephews, Thomas James Hathorn of Apache and David Joe Hathorn of Walters; and many great-nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind many friends.
