Cheryl "Cher" Lynn (David) Miller, age 77, of Ponca City, Oklahoma, passed away at her home on November 30, 2025. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W. Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK 74601
Cheryl was born on May 25, 1948, in Washington, D.C., to Lois J. David. She spent her life devoted to her family, her work, and the simple joys that brought her comfort and fulfillment.
Cher married the love of her life, James Miller, in 1975, and together they built a life rooted in love, commitment, and family. Though James preceded her in death in 2009, Cheryl carried his memory with her always. She was also preceded in death by her mother, Lois J. David.
Cher is survived by her two sons, Charles Miller and wife, Tammy, of Arkansas City, Kansas, and James C. Miller and wife, Lindsey, of Marion, Iowa; her brothers Bruce W. David of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Dexter A. David and wife, Paula, of Sacramento, California, and Jeffrey M. David and wife, Margie, of Green Bay, Wisconsin. She was a proud grandmother of four and loved each of them dearly.
Cher’s hands were rarely still-she found joy in fishing, woodworking, and crochet. She loved going to auctions and treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren. Family was at the center of Cher’s world, and she loved them deeply.
Cher will be remembered for her kindness, her creativity, her loyalty, and the enduring love she held for her family.
