Carol Miller, longtime Woodward business owner passed away, Thursday, August 29, 2024 surrounded by her family. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, September 6, 2024 at the Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church in Woodward. Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.
Carol June (Gates) Miller was born on June 29, 1948 in Pampa, Texas to Gene and Alice (Gooding) Gates. Carol grew up in Pampa, Texas and graduated from Pampa High School. She then attended Texas Tech University. She was united in marriage to Ken Miller on July 1, 1966 in Pampa, Texas. They were blessed with two children, Kelly and Melissa. They made their first home in Pampa. They later moved to Lubbock, Texas and Jacksonville, Florida before making their home in Woodward, Oklahoma. Her and Ken owned Kens Haberdashery and Jiffy Cleaners.
She enjoyed the holidays with her family and loved spending time with them, especially her grandchildren. Carol also enjoyed reading, crafting, and decorating.
She is survived by her son Kelly Miller and wife Jessica of Woodward; daughter Melissa DonCarlos of Woodward; grandchildren: Courtney and husband Stephen of Scottsdale, Arizona, Krysten of Plano, Texas, Cashion of Oklahoma City, Mattie of Edmond, Allie of Woodward, Jetta and Jake of Oklahoma City, Cam and Delaney of Woodward; other relatives and many friends.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Ken in 2021.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church with the funeral home accepting the contributions.
