Clyde Edwin Miller, 71, of Bartlesville died on Sunday, August 23, 2020. He was born to parents Edwin Alexander Miller and Frances Ann Dye Miller on December 18, 1948 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

He graduated from College High in 1967. On August 31, 1969, Clyde married Susie Snyder and the two remained together for fifty years.

Clyde served in the United State Army during the Vietnam War. He would go on to study at the Midwest Christian College in Oklahoma City and the Cincinnati Bible Seminar and received his Master of Arts of Counseling.

Clyde worked as a minister for twenty years and as a crisis counselor for fifteen years. He worked at the Talbert House in Cincinnati, Ohio and the Northwest Center for Behavioral Health in Enid, Oklahoma. He later become the manager of Northwest Center for Behavior Health. During his long career as a licensed professional counselor, Clyde preformed competency-to-stand-trial evaluations for the Garfield County court. Clyde was also a published author and wrote the book “God ‘s Not About warm Fuzzies”.

When not working, Clyde enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, reading, photography, buffalos and studying Native American culture.

Clyde is preceded in death by his father Ed Miller, mother Frances Miller, and his grandparents Clyde and Nellie Dye and Violet Miller.

He is survived by his wife Susie; daughter Karla Miller of Bartlesville; daughter Angie Delaplane and her husband Dave of Enid; son Josh Miller and his wife Jessica of Cincinnati, OH, his grandchildren: Izzy Miller of Weatherford, OK; Carys and Caedmon Delaplane of Enid, OK; Zatanna and Stella Miller or Cincinnati, OH, his brother Bruce Miller and wife Connie, sisters Debbie Turinetti, Susan Kertok and her husband Mark, Carol Balke and her husband Jerry; several loved nieces and nephews and aunts and uncles; good friend Chris Tucker and best friend Ray Casteel.

A memorial service will be held at Town and Country Christian Church in Bartlesville, Oklahoma on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at 1:30 pm. Donations in honor of Clyde may be made to Comforting Hands Hospice or The Journey Home in Bartlesville.
