Alma (Northington) Miller, daughter of Robert and Belva Winters) Northington, was born on November 19, 1930 in Blair, Oklahoma and departed this life to be with our Lord on Thursday, December 12, 2013 in Fayetteville, Arkansas at the age of 83 years and 7 days shy of one month.
Alma loved her family dearly and enjoyed being around them, she enjoyed cooking and reading, enjoyed visiting friends and she would go to the casino every chance she could. Alma was a fighter for the family and would take care of anybody and everybody. She was very protective of those she loved and cared about and she had a big heart and would help anyone in need. Alma was a member of Elm Grove Baptist Church.
Alma was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Belva Northington; brother, Gordon Northington and daughter, Donna Croley.
She is survived by a very loving family which includes her husband, Kenneth of Stilwell, Oklahoma; her son, Tom Owens and wife Diane of Pulaski, Tennessee; daughter, Mona Medina and husband Luis of Fayetteville, Arkansas; daughter, Stacy Bird and husband Eddy of Stilwell, Oklahoma; and daughter, Christie Harris of Stilwell; her brother, Darrell Northington and wife Gloria of Lakeland, Florida; sister, Joan Giles and husband Jerry of Chapel Hill, Tennessee; 9 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Memorial services at 11 am on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Roberts/Reed-Culver Chapel with Pastor Rose Leroy officiating.
