Dec 25, 1940 ~ Sep 19, 2016

Jim was born in Bartlesville, OK December 25, 1940, the fourth of five children. He passed away peacefully in his home the morning of September 19, 2016. He will be remembered as a beloved husband, father and grandfather who loved to be a little ornery.

He graduated from College High School in 1958 and entered the Army in 1961. He came home to work in the mailroom at Phillips where he met the love of his life on the switchboard. He went on to graduate from Tahlequah Co-mm. College and moved into the IT Dept. at Phillips. In 1987 he relocated his family to Las Vegas where he retired from Las Vegas Review Journal in 2006. At that time he and his wife returned to Bartlesville and just celebrated 50 years of a loving marriage this summer.

He was preceded in death by his parents Edna Lorene and Veachel Murrel Milford along with Sister Normia Ashley.

He is survived by his devoted wife Dorothy Patricia{Casto}Milford, son Martin{Debra}MHford, daughter Rebecca Milford and four wonderful grandsons that meant the world to him. William Rathjen, Matthew & Zachary Milford, and Ryan Moberly. Sister Darlene Barkema, Lansing MI, brother Gilbert{Delores}Milford, Bixby and sister Elaine Thomas, Hominy along with many loving nieces and nephews.

No services are planned at this time, if you would like to make a donation the family asks for it to go to Comforting Hands Hospice 1366 #A Washington Blvd, Bartlesville, OK 74006. We also send out a huge thank you to all the ladies there, particularly Ann and Crystal. Your care for him and us as a family was above and beyond!
