Graveside services for Landin Wilson Miles, 91, of Kernersville, North Carolina were held at 4 p.m., Monday, September 12 in the Mt. Gur Cemetery in Kernersville on what would have been her and her husband Tom’s 69th wedding anniversary.
Born July 3, 1920, the daughter of Sarah Louisa Reavis and Earl Hensley Wilson, she died Friday, September 9, 2011 at Kerner Ridge Assisted Living in Kernersville.
Mrs. Miles was a native of Lewisburg, Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, Andrew Miles and son-in-law, Jerry Cowan.
Survivors include her loving husband of 69 years, Tom Miles; one son, George H. Miles and his wife, Ann of Kernersville; one daughter, Sally Cowan of Marietta; one grandson, Daniel Miles and wife, Sharon of Kernersville; one granddaughter, Landen Cowan of Marietta; and one great-granddaughter, Andra Miles of Kernersville.
Memorials may be made to the Southern Appalachian Ronald McDonald House, 418 N. State of Franklin Road, Johnson City, TN 37604.
