Lowell S. Meulpolder was born to Stuart and Barbara Meulpolder April 4, 1956, in Pella Iowa. After a short illness, he passed from this life February 5, 2021, in Arlington, Texas.
Lowell was a kind and caring son. He always had a warm smile for everyone and an apparent love of life. He was very athletic and played his favorite sport, Ice Hockey both in high school and college. While playing hockey he was know as "Dutch" because of his long, blonde hair and Dutch Heritage. Lowell was an adventurer. He made many canoe trips out of Ely, Minnesota, to the boundary waters bordering Canada. He was with the Ski Patrol in the Colorado Rockies. Rode his bicycle from his home in Minneapolis 1,000 miles into Canada and back. Lowell resided in Enid and worked with is parents at Blooms Meat Company. He went on to buy and sell Boxed Beef in Minneapolis, Chicago and Iowa. HIs favorite pastime was reading Western books and watching Western Movies. Lowell has been cremated. He will be placed in the Meulpolder plot in Pella, Iowa, along with his ancestors from Holland.
Survivors include: Lowell's parents; Son: Stuart Meulpolder; Grandson: Phoenix; Sisters: Laura Humphrey (Monte), Amy Boyland (Robert); Nephews: Derek, Grant, Jacob Ogle, Bill, James Humphrey, Justin Brewer; Niece: Megan Brewer; and many Relatives and Friends. Memorial for Lowell may be made to his Grandson's Education Fund, 2609 Dans Court, Enid, Oklahoma 73703.
