Bobby Lee "Bob" Metheny
January 10, 1929 ~ January 16, 2025

Bobby Lee Metheny, a long-time Chandler, Oklahoma, resident was born on January 10, 1929, in Roosevelt, Oklahoma. He departed this life on Thursday, January 16, 2025, in Chandler, Oklahoma, at the age of 96 years old.

Bob was the son of Jack and Fannie Ada (Rogers) Metheny and was raised in the Ada, Oklahoma area. He served our country in the United States Army for several years.

Bob married Ann Vernice Morse on April 7, 1956, in Hammond, Indiana. They moved to Chandler from Lake Village, Indiana in 1978.

Bob was a hard worker and very self-reliant from an early age. Bob worked in construction for many years. He loved working and showing horses. Most importantly he was a beloved husband, father, and Papa.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Ann Metheny; daughter, Kelly Crawford; grandson, Matthew Kalka; 5 sisters; and 5 brothers.

He is survived by a son, Greg Metheny of Shawnee, Ok; four daughters, Kim Metheny of Shawnee, Karen Gough and husband Vernon of Chandler, Ok, Karla Kalka and husband Mark of Chandler, Ok, and Kandy Merry of Shawnee, Ok; eight grandchildren, Geoff Metheny, Jimmy Brown, Eric Gough, Erin Allen, Kaylee Burchardt, Justin Merry, Kersten Crawford, and Konrad Crawford; numerous great-grandchildren; as well as a host of other family members and friends.
