Sharon Meikle
February 23, 1943 ~ December 11, 2021

Sharon Meikle, 78, daughter of John and Velda Meikle, passed away at Salem Hospital on December 11, 2021, from complications of acute aortic dissection.

Sharon grew up on the family farm in Hunter, Oklahoma. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in dietetics. She would go on to live in Texas, Colorado, Arizona and Washington, and finally settled in Keizer, Oregon. She retired as food service director for the Oregon School for the Deaf after more than 20 years of service.

Sharon enjoyed traveling, bridge, and time spent with family.

Sharon is survived by her son, John Ewing and his wife, Taki; her long-lost brother, James Baker and his wife, Carolyn; and her beloved dog JR. She also considered Kathy and Steve Dow to be close family members. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her older brother, John Meikle Jr. (Sue).

Family would like to thank the staff of Salem Hospital for their professional and gracious care of Sharon in her final weeks.

A family celebration of her life will be held at a later time.
